For lead-acid battery, the ideal charging current is pulse type. Pulse charging is best when the pulse DC charging is directly rectified and unfiltered by the 50-60Hz commercial power supply. Since the self discharge rate of lead-acid battery is relatively large, the constant voltage charging mode is generally used when power frequency charging is adopted. Since the lead-acid battery charger is generally set to two-stage or three-stage charging mode, the voltage level of lithium iron phosphate battery and lead acid battery is not matched. If the voltage is consistent, the lithium battery can be charged with lead acid battery, but the lead-acid battery cannot be charged with lithium battery, because the safety requirements of lithium battery are higher.

If the voltage is consistent, the lithium ion battery can be charged with the lead acid battery, but the lead acid battery cannot be charged with the lithium battery, because the safety requirements of the lithium battery pack are higher. These two types of chargers cannot be mixed, or the battery will be directly scrapped. Because the charging modes of the lithium battery charger and the lead-acid battery charger are different. Lithium ion battery is charged at constant voltage and constant voltage, and lead-acid is charged in three stages.

Therefore, unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium battery packs do not have universal battery chargers. Generally speaking, lithium ion battery packs are delivered with special chargers. In order to protect the lithium battery, a special charger is required. The charger shall be dedicated to the special vehicle, and the charger shall be matched with the type of battery. If the current is too high, the active material of the electrode plate will fall off and the battery will not be fully charged; If it is too low, the battery will not be able to accept effective charging, and the battery will not be fully charged; If the voltage is too high and overcharged, the current will exceed its bearing capacity and cause the battery to bulge.
